The vehicle dock kit offers a professional grade in-vehicle car kit with a detachable Iridium 9555 satellite phone.

The vehicle dock kit is a car kit designed for personnel to use an iridium phone (models are available for the 9505a and 9555) while in a vehicle. Field engineers, first responders and law enforcement personnel can reply on its secure in-vehicle placement and sturdy construction for reliable stow-and-go use in any emergency.

Audio Integration

The SatDOCK 9555 integrates into your existing intra-vehicle coms system (typically on a bus, train or heavy machinery) for easy, understood communication within a high-decibel (loud) environment using the Audio/Microphone jacks on the transceiver.

Data Ready

A serial RS-232 port allows an albeit slow though convenient data connection. With a maximum speed of 9.6kbps we don't recommend sending any music downloads. For serious multi-user broadband "to-go" we recommend the Thrane & Thrane 727 or the Hughes 9250.

Intelligent Handset

While the optional basic handset is not much to speak of, the intelligent handset is well worth considering. It is a full dial pad which allows full access to the 9555 passenger to text message - at least we hope it is not the driver, and access the 9555 phonebook.
