Get a versatile indoor solution with The Beam IntelliDOCK RST310 and detachable 9505A satellite phone handset.

For Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery, the Beam IntelliDOCK RST310 installation allows users to conveniently access phone, data & SMS services via the Iridium satellite network utilizing a standard telephone or even through a PBX. If the need arises to evacuate or move off-site simply snap out the 9505A handset for walk-and-talk capable satellite connectivity.

The RST310 is an intelligent docking station which emulates the features of a PSTN (Public Telephone Service). In addition to off-hook detection, Ring, Busy & Dial service tones are included features that can be programmed to suit specific country applications. A standard RJ11 port is included so just plug in your phone and start talking…or faxing.

For added security selected area/country codes may be blocked or for convenience certain access numbers can be preprogrammed such as “00” or “011” for international access. It is also possible to send/receive SMS or email up to 160 characters in length.

A detachable handset as a feature certainly adds an extra level of flexibility to what is supposed to be an ‘indoor’ or ‘fixed-site’ installation; however they about 15% more expensive, when you include the cost of the handset, over a more conventional fixed-site solution with a built-in transceiver. Overall the Beam hardware configuration is slightly superior to the ASE solution and this is only because the cradle and docking station of the RST310 can be in separate rooms for added security.

This configuration requires the 9505A handset part for service.

The coax cable to connect the antennae to the base station is available and may be selected for the quote but is not included in the kit, however the antennae is included.
