The included intelligent handset can be located near the driver without denying access to critical vehicle functions (and no, we’re not referring to the CD changer!) such as the horn, lights, refrigeration and other electrical functions. The use of a satellite network to support a transport network is critical as business expands to all corners of the globe and guaranteed access to your transport fleet anywhere on earth is essential to make margins, get food to the mouths that need it and to put the ‘first’ in first responder. A LeoTrack module may also be added for online, real-time tracking and alert monitoring for freight and driver safety.

The Beam RST620 provides a robust fixed satellite telephone system that can be installed into any transport application. When used in conjunction with the Beam LeoTRAK then provides a complete communications solution encompassing voice, data, messaging, monitoring, tracking and alert reporting.
Communication System Integration
The Hands-free Interface can be easily integrated to a communication system that may be installed within a transport vehicle, such as those found on board trains, busses and heavy machinery. Using the Audio and Microphone outputs from the main interface and integrating them to an on-board communication system enables a conversation to be easily made from within the vehicle using existing communication equipment.
Power Inputs / Backup Battery
The RST620 terminal supports a 10-32V DC power input and the terminal is capable of being wired to an auxiliary/accessory power supply as well as constant power. The unit is also equipped with some intelligent power off features that delay power off functionality after the ignition is turned off. There is also the option powering up the unit on accessory power in emergency applications.
