The Flightcell DZM2 delivers user-configurable two way voice and data communications via Iridium satellite and cellular phone, plus sophisticated ‘smart’ ght tracking, anywhere in the world. And it’s all seamlessly integrated in this very compact, lightweight environmentally sealed hub.

The compact DZM2 system integrates Iridium transceivers into aircraft and vehicle intercom systems, providing:

• Global voice communications to all ICS stations
• Optional 2 wire telephone connection for DECT cordless phone in the cabin
• Optional wired Iridium Intelligent handset for the cabin
• Global GPS position tracking • Short burst or circuit switched data transmission
• Transfer les from aircraft to ground via Iridium direct or internet gateways.
• Email and SMS text from the aircraft
• Flightcell DZM2 uses an Iridium handset as the satellite transceiver, providing all of the bene ts of a built-in satellite phone system, while the phone can be removed in seconds from the Flightcell phone mount, providing mobile satellite

Global asset tracking

• Flightcell DZM2 uses your Iridium transceiver (phone or modem) to transmit GPS position, direction, ground speed, altitude and on board data
• DZM2 uses low cost SBD transmission switching to SMS when phone in use – retaining tracking integrity
• DZM2 sends up to 3 mid point “breadcrumbs” for every position transmission - to show more accurately the aircraft’s behavi ightpath.
• Ground computer terminals can track aircraft anywhere in the world with no range limitations
• Flightcell’s programmable event-driven tracking system provides for positions to be transmitted at operator- set intervals according to multiple criteria: time interval, course change, altitude change
• Event-based reports: startup, take , landing
• Three escalating manual position reporting options:
  • Point of interest, with optional pre-coded messages
  • Alert
  • Distress
• Current position can be remotely acquired from the ground
• DZM settings and status can be remotely acquired and re-set from the ground.
